Get running in 5 minutes

Follow these steps to install and start using Watchlist Pro on your Kite account.

Download & add the extension from Chrome Web Store

  • Chrome 116 or newer is required — update Chrome first if needed
  • → Click here to open the Chrome Web Store listing
  • After installing, pin Watchlist Pro from the extensions menu so it's always visible in your toolbar
    • Pin the extension in Chrome toolbar
  • The extension only activates on Kite's webpage — it won't appear elsewhere

Open Kite and launch a popout chart

  • Log in to your Zerodha Kite account
  • Open any stock's chart in a new tab (Popout chart). Or use this direct link to open HDFCBANK:

  • Click the pinned Watchlist Pro icon in the toolbar — the panel opens on the right side of the chart

Add your first stocks

  • You'll see an empty Default watchlist to start
  • Tap the ＋ icon to search and add stocks one at a time Adding a symbol to the watchlist
  • Click any stock in the list to load its chart on the left
  • Use the Default dropdown to create new lists or switch between them Creating a new watchlist

Bulk-import symbols (optional)

  • Import up to 1,000 stocks into a watchlist at once
  • Select the target list, then click the Import symbols icon
  • Paste your symbols in EXCHANGE:SYMBOL format, one per line — e.g. NSE:TCS Import symbols dialog

Create a new list & open Import

In Watchlist Pro, create a new watchlist for the index you're importing, then click the ↑ Import symbols icon.

Paste & confirm

Paste the copied symbols into the import dialog and click Add to watchlist. Done.

All watchlist files use the EXCHANGE:SYMBOL format. Each symbol is on its own line.

F&O symbols can also be added in the same way. For newly-listed/IPO stocks, go to Settings → Update Symbols inside the extension.

I can't find a newly listed/IPO stock. How do I fix it?
Watchlist Pro ships with all NSE & BSE stocks listed as of 16 Sept 2024. To get newly listed/IPO stocks, click the Settings icon inside the extension and tap Update Symbols.
Chrome says "This extension is not trusted by Enhanced Safe Browsing." Is it safe?

Yes, it is completely safe to install. This warning appears for users who have Enhanced protection enabled in Chrome settings.

Because this extension was published from a newer developer account, it takes a few months to build trust status on the Chrome Web Store.

Does Watchlist Pro have access to my Kite account?
Watchlist Pro is 100% local. It only stores the watchlists you create, inside Chrome on your device. It has no access to your Zerodha credentials, Kite account, holdings, or any personal data.
I'm using ChartIQ charts on Kite. Does Watchlist Pro work?
Yes. Watchlist Pro works with both TradingView 2.0 and ChartIQ charts on Kite.
Can I add F&O symbols to Watchlist Pro?
Yes, Futures & Options symbols can be added to any watchlist.
Can I sync my existing Kite Marketwatch lists?
Not currently. Since Watchlist Pro doesn't connect to your Kite account, there's no way to pull in your existing Marketwatch lists automatically.
How do I access my watchlists on another Chrome browser?
Use the Backup & Restore feature. Click the Settings icon → Backup to export a file, then open Watchlist Pro on your other Chrome browser and use Restore to import it.
Can I bulk import stocks into a watchlist?
Yes — up to 1,000 stocks per import. Click the ↑ Import symbols icon, paste your list in EXCHANGE:SYMBOL format (one per line), and hit Add to watchlist.
Do you have pre-made watchlists I can import?
Yes — scroll up to the Pre-made Watchlists section. It includes Nifty 50, sectoral indices, thematic lists, and more.
